Guide: How To Verify Your PayPal With Your Nigeria ATM Card.
It was and it is still a great news that PayPal has finally accepted Nigeria into their list of supported countries that Nigerians like you and myself can now open PayPal on our own IP and as well verify our account using our Nigeria ATM card such as that of GTBank,Zenith,Diamond,UBA and
many more in as much it is either mastercard or visacard.
BUT from my observation and what people have been contacting me on for assistance are how to verify their PayPal account with their ATM card and also what to buy to test-run and confirm if their own PayPal account will be able to make payment online.

For that reason,I've been able to come up with useful guide on how to go about the two requests mostly asked.
If you're having problems verifying your Nigerian Paypal account, you're doing something incorrectly.

Follow these simple steps to Verify your Paypal Account:

Firstly, log in to your paypal account and make sure you entered the correct billing address for your card.

Secondly, check your email for the 'Welcome to Paypal' email sent into the email address you used in opening your paypal account. There is a 'Link Your Card' link inside that email; click on that link, follow the prompt
and log into your paypal account.

In your account follow the step by step instruction making sure your card details and billing address are correct, then click 'Continue'.
If your card details are correct, Paypal will deduct $1.95 from your account with an instruction to look out from an alert from your bank in 2-3 days time.
My GTB alert took less than 1 hour to arrive on my phone.
The message in the bank alert goes thus " Acct""""""""""""""""""""1234 The
naira equivalent of USD 1.95 has been approved for the transaction done
on PP"1234CODE5678364577LU

Thirdly, Log back into your Paypal account and click either the 'Verify' tab at
the top of your paypal account statement or 'Confirm your card' link in the right hand column of your Papal account.
Doing either of the two will take you to a window where you'll be required to enter the four digit code in the alert message sent to you by your bank.
Enter the 4 digit numbers preceding CODE in the SMS alert; its 1234 in the sample SMS given above.
After entering the 4 digit code in the space provide, scroll down and click the 'Confirm Card' tab.

That's it!
You've successfully verified your Nigerian Paypal account and you can now shop all over the world with that your ATM card without any merchant turning you down each time you choose the Paypal payment option.

Paypal is Entering Nigeria on June 17-nairaden.com

When i was browsing through the internet this evening, I saw a news headline by Reuters which says ‘PayPal expands payment services to Nigeria, 9 other markets’. I was wondering how true this could be, before a friend called me to confirm the genuineness of the news.
According to Reuters,PayPal is entering 10 new countries this week, including Nigeria, providing online payment alternatives for consumers via mobile phones or PCs in markets often blighted by financial fraud.
“PayPal has been going through a period of reinvention, refreshing many of its services to make them easier to use on mobile (phones), allowing us to expand into fast-developing markets,” Keeley said.
Five European markets– Belarus, Macedonia, Moldova, Monaco and Montenegro, four in the African nations of Nigeria, Cameroon,Ivory Coast, and Zimbabwe, as well as Paraguay will gain access to PayPal global services this week.
Once the services go live, customers in the 10 countries with access to the Web and a bank card authorized for Internet transactions will be able to register for a PayPal account and make payments to millions of sites worldwide.
