Glo is Nigeria’s 2nd largest operator– NCC

National telecommunications operator,
Globacom, has reclaimed the position of the
second largest mobile service provider which it
conceded briefly to Airtel a few months ago.
Glo achieved the feat by recording 2.8m new
subscribers between February and June this
year, the largest by any operator in the country
within the period.

According to figures just published by industry
regulator, Nigerian Communications
Commission (NCC) on its website, Glo had
27,327,646 subscribers on its network as at
the end of June, 2014. The figure translates to
21% share of the Nigerian telecoms market,
and places Glo second to MTN which has
56,516,759.

Airtel which briefly occupied the second
position early this year falls to the third place
with 25,302,160 subscribers and 20% market
share. Etisalat retains the fourth position with
19,390,285 customers which represents 15%
share of the market.

Instructively, while Glo and Etisalat made gains
between the last time NCC released subscriber
figures in February, and now, MTN and Airtel
recorded losses. The figures for the operators
as at the end of February were 57,183,745 for
MTN, 26,194,336 for Airtel, 24,490,650 for Glo
and 18,119,397 for Etisalat.

In effect, between end of February and June
end, Glo added 2,836,996 new subscribers to
its network, while Etisalat recorded 1,270,888
new customers. On the other hand, MTN lost
666,986 subscribers, while Airtel also lost
892,176 customers, the highest loss within the
period.

Glo also retained its position as the network
with the second largest internet subscription in
the country with 14.3m active subscriptions.
MTN is in the first place with 34m, while Airtel
and Etislat have 12m and 6.8m active internet
subscriptions respectively.

Industry sources believe that the massive
network upgrade recently embarked upon by
Glo and its bouquet of new service offerings
may have given it the edge over other
operators.

The network expansion involved swapping of
old base stations with new ones and
modernization of existing infrastructure into a
state-of-the-art network software and
hardware. It also involves achieving 90 percent
3G coverage, the first in the industry, making it
possible for Glo data subscribers across the
country to experience significant service
enhancement.

Glo has since inception been reputed for fast
pace of deployment, efficient services, array of
value added services as well as strong and
unique marketing initiatives.

In addition to pioneering latest technology in
the industry, Glo has introduced unique
products and affordable tariff packages
including Infinitiser, Glo Gista, Infinito, Profit
Max, Bumper and G-Bam.

The company recently continued this tradition
with the launch of new products such as Glo

The Upgrade: Blackberry OS 10

The Nigerian online shopping websites like Kaymu.com.ngand Jumia has had its fair share of these gadgets since it first came into the market. Without a doubt, we all know that Nigerians love new mobile smartphones and gadgets and at the announcement of the upgrade to OS 10 by Blackberry, the buzz had already gotten people into a frenzy of picking up one for themselves as soon as it was launched into the market for purchase. The hype was so much that people had pre-ordered for the first batch of phones with the OS 10 on the online stores in Nigeria.

When BlackBerry 10 was first introducedon the BlackBerry Z10, there had been some noticeable things missing that simply ought to have been there from the beginning. For old BlackBerry users, moving from BlackBerry OS 7 to BlackBerry 10, some massive functions appeared to have been there were simply kicked to the curb, such as custom notifications for contacts, side mode, and deleting messages server-side but not specifically restricted to just these ones that were mentioned. The Hub is no doubt the main part of BlackBerry 10, so having 2 ways to fast access it isn’t such a bad idea. You can either swipe your way into the Hub, or opt to make use of the icon, or even use both, whichever way pleases you.
Apps are uniquely and evenly laid out across the home screen. There also are permanent icons for phone, camera and search laid along the bottom of the screen. These cannot be modified, but you will be able to move around any app icon as you would like.
Navigating around BlackBerry 10 is completed through a series of gestures, swipe up & to the right to get to the Hub and left to scroll through your home screens. In an application you will have to swipe up from the bottom edge to close or minimize the app or down from the top to access the settings. BlackBerry 10 has extremely evolved since last year that it was launched. Usually the android security Lock pattern has an alternative unlock method, which is logging on with Gmail account.

Let's assume you don't know your gmail username and password, and you had forgotten your Phone security password. Here is an android trick to help you by pass pattern lock on your android phone.

How To Unlock Android Phone Pattern

- Power Off Device
- After Putting Off device press and hold Power Button
+ Volume down simultaneously for a few seconds.
- After that Android Secret menu would appear.
- Now press home key to scroll that appeared menu.
- Now it will display a option like remove or delete all user data.
- wait for just a few seconds.
- Now you have figured out your problem.

That's all. Remove battery and insert back, the pattern lock security won't be there any longer.
